Female activists often complain that male survivors are brought up only when women are talking about rape. That’s a gross over-generalization, but sometimes true.

Interestingly enough, the same people complaining often bring up male survivors to assert we don’t get victim-blamed, or have it easy, or to spread myths and disinformation about our traumas.
