As a male survivor of a female rapist who shared my story publicly, I’ve been repeatedly asked by social media activists, “what were you wearing”. The intent was always to ironically victim-shame me in order to make a point about how women are victim-shamed vs. men. Aside from being incompetent advocacy, it is also toxic. Anyway.
I’m done humoring that question and would rather talk about how my rapist was dressed. She was wearing a tight, black skirt. I no longer remember her blouse. I believe she had on some black boots. She had a loose fitting jacket as well. I do not remember her underwear, since I was unconscious then and likely never saw them on her. Her makeup was dark and her look was 1990 goth. She was dressed to have fun in a club on New Wave music night.
That is what my rapist wore before she drugged my drink. Satisfied?
