Workplace Minimalism

The desk at my daytime job (from 11/2013 to present). I keeps it simple: PC, small supplies organizer, fan, phone and a digital photo frame with hundreds of pictures and certificates, etc. The rest of my stuff is in the desk (tape dispenser, stapler, etc.) as I don’t need it cluttering up my work area. I can actually spread out my work and visualize because I have the space to do it.

Everything else I need is digital or organized and filed in my lateral file so I can actually find it. I process too much damned paper on a regular basis to just pile it up in a so-called “system” all over the place. Accounting work is no joke and disorganization is dangerous to your employment and employer.

I do not spend hours frantically looking for that one thing we desperately need. It is either where it is supposed to be or I don’t fucking have it. There are no piles to look through. Keep it simple.
