Taser Happy Jack Booted Thugs

Again, a cop tasers a person for no reason:

"A dashboard camera video posted on YouTube less than 24 hours ago showing a Utah Highway Patrol officer firing a Taser at a driver he stopped for speeding has prompted authorities there to expedite an internal investigation into the incident."

Bad public relations should not be the impetus for moving along investigations of Jack Booted Thug (JBT) behavior among law enforcement.  Umm, like out of control, violent, arrogant cop thuggery should be the reason.  JBT Cop was clearly overzealous, arrogant and abusive.  Were there any justice in the world (not saying there is), he would be charged with assault, convicted, and spend the same amount of time in prison that a person tasering him would receive.  I would also recommend, out of basic human decency, he apologize to Mr. and Mrs. Massey in public.

What kind of dickless wonder threatens a pregnant woman for objecting to what amounts to torture by cop?

Send him away for assault, strip him of retirement benefits and treat this fool just like any other violent thug. A badge is not a permission slip to commit assault at will and threaten non-violent individuals with torture or jail for asking a question.

It is far past time that law enforcement in this country be reminded that they work FOR the public, not to control the public.  Real consequences for real cop violence would be a start.  Sporting a badge, wearing a uniform and protecting the public should come with requisite respect for said public who pay their salaries and provide their benefits.  Law enforcement exists primarily to protect individuals from violent thugs, not to enable more violent thuggery with free weaponry, shiny badges, nifty cars and public financed salaries.  Threatening unarmed pregnant women and committing violence against peaceful individuals for asking reasonable questions do not qualify as protecting the public.

In this case, someone needs to experience some real prison time as a reminder.

  1. Some cops join the police force to serve and protect and some join because they\’re bullies. Police departments need to screen better and police themselves..
