As a rule, I normally refrain from endorsing particular candidates for the LP nomination for president. In the past, I've tended to concentrate my time and efforts toward civil liberties protections, while staying out of the way of the electoral experts in the LP. In this case, I'm making an exception.
I formally endorse George Phillies as the Libertarian Party candidate for president. Professor Phillies is a well-respected activist in Libertarian and libertarian circles. He is a serious thinker, accomplished physicist and educator, and long-time Libertarian activist. George, you have my vote and I look forward to campaigning for you when your team stops by Northern Virginia on your road to the nomination.

Cowardly Disclaimer: My endorsement of Professor Phillies should not be seen as affront to the other serious, announced candidates for the LP nomination who are also dedicated to libertarianism. Obviously, this does not include the non-libertarian, non-mainstream, Republican candidate being pimped by Eric Dondero.
James: I will take it under consideration…….the best man or woman never runs for President…….the vote is between evils unfortunately…….
The all important Landrith endorsement, good for 550 votes.

But on a more serious note, I don’t regret this endorsement made in 1/2007. Aside from George’s disappointing immigration platform (which didn’t yet exist in January 2007 at the time of this endorsement), this is an choice I won’t lose sleep over.
Now then, had I lost my mind and endorsed a drug warrior, Big Government Nanny-Statist, social conservative masquerading as a libertarian, well I might have something to regret…
