Opportunity for libertarian or anarcho-cap directory editor at DMOZ

About three or so years ago I became one of the editors at DMOZ's Open Directory Project. I took over editing three libertarian subcategories and one anarcho-cap subcategory:

Society: Politics: Liberalism: Libertarianism: News and Media: Weblogs – will require some pruning, not a lot of work necessary to maintain, although there are often off-topic submissions to redirect or delete

Society: Politics: Liberalism: Libertarianism: People: Personal Pages – will require some pruning, not a lot of work necessary to maintain

Society: Politics: Liberalism: Libertarianism: Anarcho-Capitalism: News and Media: Weblogs – will require some pruning, not a lot of work necessary to maintain

Regional: North America: United States: Society and Culture: Politics: Parties: Libertarian: Candidates – this category will require a lot of work to bulk up the listings each election cycle

When I started editing, the listings were sparse and much of the content was out-dated and stale. I've added a few hundred or so links in all to those pages. The Open Directory Project's listing are mirrored on hundreds, if not thousands, of pages world-wide. One link can go a long way with the ODP.

Since then, my time has grown increasingly scarce. Tonight, I attempted to login in for the first time in months – only to find my login deactivated due to inactivity. I can understand that policy and am actually a little relieved.

I could apply for reinstatement and see no reason why I would not be granted such an application. However, I do not wish to continue on this worthy project. My time is too limited with attempting to restore my sorely neglected publications to their former glory, activist activities, classes, work and family. The time has come to pass the DMOZ baton. The infrastructure is there and the hardest work completed.

I humbly ask that a responsible and knowledgable libertarian or anarcho-cap reader(or associate) take my place on all or some of the pages I formerly edited at the Open Directory Project.

To apply for editing privileges, simply click on "Volunteer to edit this category" at the bottom of the category page you wish to take over editing responsibilities.

Thank you – and I hope one or several readers have the time and inclination to pick up where I am leaving off. Feel free to send me a private message if you have questions.
