The Starbucks Coffee and Iraq donation story is not true.

And quite frankly, speaking as a fellow Marine and fellow NCO, I’m a bit disgusted that Sgt Wright would pass on such a story without any proof or basic fact-checking.
It hurt his credibility and the uniform we both wore when he signed his name and rank on to this falsehood that has been eating up way too much bandwidth over the last two years. Of course, fans of Big Government Conservative Wars of Intervention really, really, really want it to be true and will continue to spread this propaganda regardless.
Sorry. It ain’t true, and Sgt Wright should have known better than to participate in political propaganda while representing the Scarlet and Gold. Fortunately, he saw his error and issued a retraction available at the link above. Please folks, stop spreading this around.
