Longtime readers know that I have been a member of Veterans for Common Sense for several years. Yesterday, I added a copy of their new press release and an open letter (which I signed as well) calling for an independent commission to examine the Bush Administration’s use of torture and secret detentions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Cuba and elsewhere. Give them a read.
Veterans for Common Sense will be holding a press conference on Friday to discuss the letter. While I have participated in many of their prior press events, I will be unable to attend this one. I’ll be there in spirit brothers and sisters. Speak some truth.
