DNC Press Credentials

Several bloggers have been issued press credentials to cover the Democratic National Convention.

Like about 20 other bloggers, I was also issued “Hall” credentials to cover the Convention (by letter on July 3), only to be informed that they were rescinded on July 7. The press office said they issued too many passes for the space they had booked for the press gallery.

Damn – no Taking The Gloves Off /The Multiracial Activist coverage at the Democratic National Convention. Maybe in four years. Perhaps (sarcasm alert) the fact that I am listed in Hudson’s Washington News Media Contacts Directory and the Gale Directory of Publications and Broadcast Media (under The Multiracial Activist) made me more of an “establishment” journalist and less of an independent in their eyes. Well, at least I made the grade enough to be invited according to their screening committee, if not to be disinvited for space constraint issues. That puts me one more step towards blogosphere domination. Yes, it will all be mine… (cue: spooky music and evil laughter)
