Progress on the FOIA Lawsuit

Our two year old lawsuit against the Department of Justice's secret detentions got a little press today in The Washington Post:

…the court will look at an appeal by the Center for National Security Studies, a Washington-based nonprofit organization that heads a group of civil liberties and Arab American organizations seeking the names, nationalities and other information about hundreds of people detained by the government during its investigation of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The groups say that disclosure is required by the First Amendment and the Freedom of Information Act. They have been supported by friend-of-the-court briefs filed by The Washington Post Co. and other media organizations.
