I just found an awesome application for those of you running Blazer as your brower on Handspring and other PDAs. As you may already know, Blazer lacks some of the capabilities of other wireless browsers, specifically, the ability to add software directly to the PDA wirelessly. Via an advertisement in Handheld Computing, I was prompted to visit MemoWare for the first time in a very long time. Longtime Palm OS users know that MemoWare offers thousand of free documents, ebooks, etc:
MemoWare, a division of Handmark, is a unique collection of thousands of documents (databases, literature, maps, technical references, lists, etc.) specially formatted to be easily added to your PalmOS device, Pocket PC, Windows CE, EPOC, Symbian or other handheld device. The documents available here come in a variety of formats and cover a wide range of topics.
Now MemoWare has added the ability to download these documents directly onto your PDA without the need for a PC. Visit this page to get a nifty plugin that will allow you to download and install pdb/prc files wirelessly via Blazer.
