Voting sites in recall election consolidated to save money and time

At the newspaper's website, on the left under "Op-Ed" there is a link for "Write a Letter". This paper doesn't provide an email address for sending letters directly.

Counties across the state ! plan to consolidate their voting precincts in the Oct. 7 special gubernatorial election, reducing their number of polling places because they don't have enough time and money to recruit more workers.

Alameda County Registrar of Voters Bradley Clark estimated his number of polling places could drop by about 100 from its usual range of 700 to 800.
