A joint letter on secret detentions of immigration violators by the Department of Justice was sent to the House Committee on the Judiciary today. Tomorrow, the Committee will be grilling Herr Aschcroft on his use of the new PATRIOT Act powers. One item in specific that needs covering is his Department's deliberate misclassification of routine immigration violators as September 11 related.
