  1. Nice try kiddies. This is all fake. No real vet would ever write aletter like that. It’s a bunch of liberal imposters using otherpeoples names. Losers. All real vets are 100% behind thePresident, their CIC.

    1. First off, I’m no liberal. Anyone who’s been reading this blog for a real length of time knows that. Further, your posting is really cute Mr. Anonymous Vet, but you couldn’t possibly be a real veteran. No one I served with would ever show such cowardice as to post anonymously. If you’ve got something to say, then be man enough to give your real name.

    2. This anonymous guy is hilarious! Dude, please keep coming to this site and posting everywhere you can…I love seeing people like you discredit themselves with thier idiocy…it’s just too perfect.

      Listen for the pop!

A proud veteran, a proud American, and proud anti-war advocate.

    3. Too many idiots in this blog, y’ know…

To James, I prefer to remain anonymous. I fought for that right and now I am exercising it. I guess it just bugs the hell out of you not to know, but then maybe not, because that is the case with most Liberals — they choose not to know anything factual.

A.J., I have no respect for you. I figure that the reason you are only an E-5 and didn’t retire as I did, is because you couldn’t make it in the military. With whacked out views like yours, I am sure your buddies were giving you weekly blanket parties, or duct taping you to a barracks ceiling support. It certainly would not have been tolerated in any of the units I was in.

Just out of curiosity, how many years did you serve and when? I proudly served 20 years from 1972 to 1992 and received three ARCOMS and one Meritorious Service Medal.

Maybe, however, you knew that you would get your ass whipped if you expressed your views, so you shut your mouth and waited until you could get out of the military, and now under the cloak of anonymity offered by this site, you can spout your lunacy without fear of reprisal.

Johnson again, why do I and others have to keep reminding you that you are an idiot?? Climb back in your little lemming burrow, ok?? Good lemming…

      1. Anonovet.

Please answer me these questions because I would really like to establish a dialog with you instead of this empty slander tossed back and forth.
        First…

you don’t know what I believe. You assume everyone here is a “liberal.” YOu talk about my “whacked out” views and “spouting my lunacy” when I have’nt uttered ONE word about my views. I started posting silly stuff only when you did to get your goat. I thought it’d be fun. The only thing you can reasonably assume about me is that I am against this war. I’ll be here with open arms for our troops…but I will not support the President in this matter, until I’m convinced that this is morally right.

Question) In your view, does it auomatically follow that I’m a liberal because I’m against this war? If so, Why?

As far as your military awards go…those are some great acheivements. However, generally I know what kind of BS people get those awards for (pencil pusher) so I’m not so impressed. THis is not always so… I’m not saying that’s you..but if the shoe fits….

Now if you had some combat decorations…I’d zip my lip.

As far as your 20 years in the military goes…congrats on that…it’s no small thing…it takes a lot of dedication to do that. Did I have that goal? For a long time, yes. I was told to pursue a commission several times by my command…and even had some silly colonel tell me he would make sure it happened. My aspirations were to continue a career by moving into intel as a translator and then moving onto the Cristians In Action. My reasons for leaving the military are private. They have to do with my family and a marriage. Does it follow that because I CHOSE not retire that I could’nt hack?

Why did’nt you do 26 or 30 years? Because you could’nt hack? Or were you just hanging out long enough to get the benefits.

        my military record…here you go.

Joined at 17…signed on the Marine Corps B-day November 10,1993. Departed for Boot camp August ’94. Graduated 4th in class at School of Infantry. Served as an infantry rifle and platoon radio operator 94-96, 2nd Bn. 5th Marines. Screened for Marine Security Guard Duty…known as the “top 10%” of the Corps. That’s what they say anyway. Top Secret clearance granted…graduated top 10% of class…recommended of Critical counter intelligence threat post…assigned to MSG Det Pretoria, South Africa and Sofia, Bulgaria. Recommended for commission as an officer Ambassador, Deputy Cheif of Mission, Regional Security Officer, Det Commander. Returned to 3rd Battalion, 1stMarines where I served as an infantry platoon guide. Screened and approved after interview and DLAB for Arabic interrogator/translator position with 1st Marine Division. School seat reserved, papers drawn up for 8 year obligation. It was at this point that I choose either career Marines or College and civilian life. I chose College. I left the Corps in August of 2000.

Excerpt from my last fitrep… “Sergeant Isom filled the billet of platoon sergeant (a Staff Sergeant’s billet) with the enthusiasm, maturity and dedication to duty that would be expected of a senior staff non-commissioned officer. Sergeant Isom is one is one of the best NCO’s I have ever had the privlidge of serving with.” Awards that mean anything…Navy Marine Corps Acheivement Medal.

      2. By the way…

As far as respect goes…I don’t want or need your respect. Your respect is valueless.

I do respect your service. But from your conduct on this site…IDO NOT respect you.

You spit out empty diatribe. If you actually said anything in your posts and discussed things I’d change my tune…but as it is…all I ever see from you is empty insults and railings against “liberals” this and “liberals” that.

“A proud veteran, a proud American, and proud anti-war advocate.”

Spoken by someone who identifies himself and earns respect.

Anyone who has experienced war and has integrity has been humbled by it and knows the value of life and humanity. Such people, no matter what their position on this war, don’t go around like damned fools posting anonymous drivel about everybody who doesn’t support slaughter and blood-letting.
