A young boy was found dead yesterday morning in a west Nashville public park, face down on the back of a dirt mound.
Metro detective Brad Corcoran said the child appeared to have been dead at least two days before he was found in West Park on Morrow Road in a section of Nashville called The Nations.
''We're thinking he might be from over in that area,'' Corcoran said referring to The Nations. ''But obviously where he was placed, he wasn't dumped — he wasn't hidden. He was just kind of out of sight as if he was meant to be found.''
