Evening cup of Bigelow Ginger Peach Turmeric tea in my vintage thrifted @kingsdominionva mug. No reference to Paramount or Six Flags, so this is potentially 20 or more years old. No chips, stains or cracks and fairly large. Not bad for about $2.00. Lunchtime soundtrack courtesy of @aliciakeys Sometimes, it be like that.... Celebrating a successful week of work complete in Monterey. Blueberry grilled cheese and ice cold Saratoga sparking water at @atasteofmonterey #partyanimal I travel frequently for work. I have been trying to reduce the amount of plastic I use regularly. Not obsessing about a 100% reduction, but a change here and a change there will add up over time. These aluminum bottles work well to swap out my travel sizes for body wash, shampoo, lotion, mouth wash and dish soap from plastic bottles. I picked these up from The Green Road Runner Shop (@thegreenroadrunnerca) in Yucca Valley on a few trips TAD to 29 Palms. I will definitely get a few more of varying sizes on the next trip. The Thing About The Injuries Afternoon coffee in my @howard1867 Bison mug. I never attended, but my first official sexual violence speaking event was there in November 2008 during Blue and White Week, sponsored by @zphibalpha Sorority, Inc. and @pbs_1914 Fraternity. I collect a mug when I speak. Sometimes on the day of the event, but often later. This one was purchased much, much later via the online bookstore. This was my first official speaking gig as a survivor and everyone treated me so kindly. It was a well attended event with great discussion. It is stooopid hot today. Hydration today is one part thrifted glass IKEA water bottle with add-on sport cap, one part filtered water from my fridge faucet, and one part powder pack of Gatorade Zero sugar orange. Sunblock and water are your friends today. This is that heat they had Stanley Yelnats IV out there digging them holes in...gross. Afternoon cup of tea in my Editor & Publisher (magazine) mug from the early 2000s. I was given this mug by E&P for participating in a study on online publishing, as the Founder, Editor & Publisher of The Multiracial Activist.
