CNN on Clinton impeachment lawyer Charles Ruff dies:
Charles Ruff, the powerful Washington lawyer who represented President Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal and his impeachment trial, died Sunday. He was 61.
One of the lobbyists at the banking association I work at, a Republican tax lawyer, knew Ruff and held him in extremely high regard. I remember him saying last year that he was sorry that the impeachment process would probably be the only thing people remembered Ruff for or associated him with after it was over.
