I’ve been married to a Black woman since 1993. I dated several Black women before her. I have multiracial children and a granddaughter. For several years, I published The Multiracial Activist as well as The Abolitionist Examiner. I was personally involved in HUNDREDS of civil liberties campaigns and lawsuits and advocacy actions across a wide range of issues alongside the ACLU, NAACP, PFAW, NCLR, Libertarian Party, Center for National Security Studies, Liberty Coalition, and a wide range of left to right organizations who worked together when we agreed.
Over the years as a civil liberties activist publisher, I experienced death threats, denial of service attacks on my magazine’s websites, temporary mob take-overs of forums and other hostile actions by racists, extremists and bigots. That only strengthened my positions and my response to be even louder.
The racist, fascist, hateful and cruel behavior we see exhibited by friends, family and colleagues who adhere to the MAGA white supremacy party line isn’t new. We’ve seen all of it before. It is just more out in the open again for the first time in several decades.
Make no mistake about it. If you are co-signing the racism, hate, cruelty and violence…we don’t have a difference of political opinion. We have a difference in ethics and morals. You are okay with dehumanizing people based on race, religion, place of birth, gender, sexual orientation, etc. Mocking empathy and compassion and tolerance is not a flex. It’s a confession.
This isn’t about partisan political beliefs. It is about your inability to behave like a decent human being. When all of this is over, and it will eventually be over, there is no repairing the damage you’ve done to your own image, nor will forgiveness be coming from me for any of it. My family’s safety is more important than your feelings. You’ve utterly destroyed your identities with your own smug hatred and embrace of cruelty. No refunds. No returns.
Find the exit. Leave my orbit. Our business is concluded…permanently.
