Real, Actual Grooming

There is a lot of talk about grooming lately, especially by extremists pushing an agenda of hate. These are a few examples from my life, but the folks who push the “grooming” hysterics won’t comprehend:

1 – A friend’s mother “forgetting” her bra and pants when I came to the house. Then, sitting next to me on the couch in a thread-bare t-shirt and her panties. I was 16.

2 – Two adult women in my hometown asking me if I sleep in the nude, then enthusiastically describing how they sleep nude. I was all of 14.

3 – A female coworker of a family member trying repeatedly to get me to hang out at her apartment – alone. I was 16. She was in her 50s.

Those examples were sketchy behavior committed by adult women toward a teenage boy. The same people claiming that being queer = grooming are the first ones to high-five a teenage boy when an adult woman crosses boundaries with him. Never forget that. Ever.
