Youth for Tomorrow, an organization that does great work in the DC/MD/VA area has an opprtunity to receive a $25,000 grant from The Home Depot Foundation. For those of you unfamiliar with Youth For Tomorrow, their mission statement is below:
Youth For Tomorrow is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and compassionate environment for at-risk youth who have been abandoned, abused, or otherwise alienated from family and community. Our mission is to provide them the opportunity and motivation to focus their lives and develop the confidence, skills, intellectual ability, spiritual insight and moral integrity to become responsible and productive members of society.
About the contest from The Home Depot Foundation:
Across the country, Home Depot associates give back to their communities by volunteering their time and talents through Team Depot. Each of the projects featured here was completed by Team Depot and a local nonprofit organization, and they’ve decided that they want to do even more together. By being selected to compete, each nonprofit featured is receiving $5,000. Your votes will decide which group receives $25,000 from The Home Depot Foundation to do another project with Team Depot volunteers.
