I've been catching up on blog watching. A new one for the blogroll:
Penelope Trunk's Brazen Careerist: http://blog.penelopetrunk.com/
From her bio:
Penelope Trunk writes career advice for a new generation of workers. She explains why old advice – like pay your dues, climb the ladder, and don't have gaps in your resume – is outdated and irrelevant in today's workplace. She has a reputation for giving advice that is counterintuitive but effective, like take long lunches, ignore people who steal your ideas, and stop vying for a promotion.
Given my recent change in employment, I've enjoyed reading her current and archived entries. After doing so, I feel even more strongly that my move to a new employer was the right one. If you are looking for a change, just not happy in your employment right now, or in need of specific advice check out the current and archived content at Brazen Careerist. Aww, just check her out regardless. It's a good blog.
