Contrary to your remarks on Nightline today, a person does not have to live under oppressive regimes like Saudi Arabia or subject to the violent rule of the Taliban in Afghanistan in order to practice Islam. I guess Muslims existing within the borders of the United States and other semi-free nations don’t exist in your eyes.
Yes, terrorism is ugly and suppression of women and basic civil rights are no less offensive practices. On the other hand, hateful stereotypes and sweeping generalizations are also ugly. And, of course, self-righteous, opportunistic, prideful, collectivist bigots purporting to speak for God are even uglier.
