The Honorable George F. Allen
United States Senate
204 Russell Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510-4604
Dear Senator Allen:
As a veteran who swore an oath to Support and Defend the Constitution, I completely disagree with your analysis of Mr. Gonzales (below). Anyone who makes a “legal” case for torturing other human beings is clearly unfit to be a guardian of the civil liberties that veterans like myself have shed blood to defend. In order to defend those liberties, a man must first respect those liberties. Mr. Gonzales and his shoddy record with regard to justifying the torture of other human beings is clearly unqualified.
Senator, I am extremely disappointed.
Sincerely,
James Landrith
