Rob Carr provides an interesting Christan perspective on the upcoming elections in Too Much Certainty?
Americans like certainty. I remember back in 1979, friends coming back from “Washington For Jesus” talking about getting a “Christian” in the White House. Never mind that Jimmy Carter was probably the most Christian President ever. The problem was, he was humble. He recognized his own fallibility, and so sometimes he would change his mind. He was swayed by evidence. He was replaced by Ronald Reagan, who was far more “certain.” Sometimes new facts would be conveniently ignored.
You need to read the rest. There's some wisdom in there and stuff.
