Dear Senators Warner and Allen and Representative Moran:
As an Internet user and a constituent, I urge you to pass the Internet Tax Nondiscrimination Act, legislation that will extend the Internet tax moratorium.
The moratorium, which expired last November, has prohibited states and localities from entangling my Internet access in the same web of taxes and fees that have strangled telephone service for so many years. The best way to encourage Internet innovation and expansion is to allow the Internet to flourish free of onerous regulations and a complex scheme of taxes and fees.
I urge you not to adjourn for the year until you have passed the Internet Tax Nondiscrimination Act, and extended the Internet tax moratorium.
Sincerely,
James Landrith
