Dear Senators Warner and Allen and Representative Moran:
With Congress getting set to finalize a budget for next year, as your constituent I urge you to cosponsor H.R. 3800 and work to pass the Family Budget Protection, which will finally put a lid to government waste, fraud, and abuse and end the runaway spending spree of the federal government.
Over the past three years, federal government spending increases have exceeded $100 billion per year. It’s time to end this spending spree and current law is not working to rein in government spending. H.R. 3800 will help rein in spending by limiting the growth of discretionary spending, impose budget rules to ensure members of Congress stay within the spending limits, and targets waste, fraud, and abuse.
With the federal deficit exceeding more than $400 billion this year because of overspending, I urge you to take a leadership role on this issue. That process begins by cosponsoring H.R. 3800 and then working to make sure it passes in the future.
Sincerely,
James Landrith
