Just a quick question for my readers visiting from MixedFolks.com Forum. Did anyone read a now deleted thread started late last night, regarding a silly poem I wrote at sixteen in 1986, called The Back Page? I got some traffic on it in my daily site activity reports and was curious.
I'm not sure what the issue is, but the poem link has been getting mailed around and is getting some hits from uber-critic Joan Caradine's "White Biracials" Yahoo! Group as well.
I was sixteen when I wrote the thing, which was a sarcastic piece inspired by (but not directly representative of the man or his beliefs) the work of Rick Baker, a popular columnist in Central Illinois at the time. I'm guessing that Joan or one of her minions is once again intentionally misrepresenting my work in the "multiracial" movement by trying to claim the poem is about me or The Multiracial Activist or proof that I'm part of a great conspiracy to take over the universe. Or some other silliness that is prone to come out of that quarter.
Just curious about what was being said about it and by who. I'd hate to have to bust some skulls up in here. Some of ya'll make my ass hurt.
