Now, as a libertarian I find the FEC to be a statist hindrance and nothing but a commission for keeping incumbents in office, and not any help to furthering the prospects of liberty. That said, it is quite interesting that the top law enforcement officer in the United States is being accused of violating campaign finance laws and has refused to open the matter up to public scrutiny.
