Time Running Out on TWA Aviators Frequent Flyer Miles

Don't lose your TWA Aviators miles, transfer them to American Airlines before June 30th. I didn't have a lot of miles with TWA, but they are now safely in my AA account regardless. And I'm that much closer to a free flight, upgrade or whatever. TWA Aviators members need to call American Airlines at 1-800-882-8880 to get the process started. It took me only about 3 minutes. Here's the scoop:

Time Running Out for TWA Aviators Miles

Since the fall of TWA and its frequent flyer program, Aviators, former members have been able to exchange TWA miles for American AAdvantage miles. The nearly two-year grace period is almost over. As of June 30, American will no longer convert those miles. Former Aviators who wish to transfer should call 1-800-882-8880.

  1. HI JAMES,
boy , i guess i screwed up. I am not much of a traveler. But every couple of years i do fly to somewhere in the world, not as often since i have three small children , all under the age of ten. my last flight was in 1996, when my wife and i went to florida. Well it was on twa. i guess you can see where this is going. I thought with the take over of twa by American airlines, from what i had briefly read was that the miles would be automaticly put into an aa acount. Well my oldest daughter was just asked to go play softball in australia. We flew on qantas , which i signed up for the frequent flyer program before we left. I noticed that they were partners with aa, which i was really excited to see and figured that with the miles i had that were transfered from twa and the ones from my australia trip, i would have about 35,000 miles. not alot for a persone who does alot of traveling, but a REALLY BIG deal to my wife and myself. Well when i called AA to ask about my account , they advised me that they had no account set up with my information. I advised them of my transfered miles from twa. They advised me no account (SORRY). I have been searching the internet and have talked to aa about the diffrent dates for transfering twa miles to aa. Am i totally out of luck or do i have any open door ? thanks dave
