An excerpt from today's Washington Times:
The police chief might go to prison for perjury. The captain who led the raid might eventually be fired. Twelve other officers have been relieved of duty. And the city faces millions in potential legal costs.
In the end, those officers involved in this mass arrest still won't have learned a damn thing. They'll blame liberals. They'll say that citizens don't understand the demands on their officers. They'll say that extraodinary measures are necessary to snatch order from the jaws of chaos. They won't learn, at least not until their liberty is infringed as well.
