I really, really, really don't like this guy. I mean, aside from the obvious reason being that he's a "white" supremacist who hates "interracial" marriage (New York Times interview). He's about my age and is from Central Illinois about 20 miles from where I grew up. He makes my people (Central Illinoisans) look bad. We don't like him. We wish he'd move and stop embarrassing us or go jump in the Illinois River.
When I tell people that I am from the Peoria area, their first reaction used to be, "Oh, where Richard Pryor is from!" Now folks are just as likely to say, "Oh, where that white supremacist Matt Hale is from!" It makes me sick. He makes me sick.
But it is interesting to observe that two individuals from the same area and nearly the same age can come out with completely opposite views and become leaders in their respective causes. Me being in an "interracial" marriage for 9 years, editor & publisher of The Multiracial Activist and Abolitionist Examiner and helping to lead a fight against government "racial" classifications, and him being a "white" supremacist and leader of the violent, separatist organization World Church of the Creator.
