I spent the last four days (Thursday – Sunday) in Charleston, SC at a family reunion (in-laws). It was a pretty good time all around. Too much time on the road though, spent all night Wednesday driving down and most of the morning and early afternoon Sunday driving back. (Note to bachelor, heathen playboys reading this blog: this is the type of stuff you do after you say "I do." And no, you don't get to complain either.)
I've been to South Carolina several dozen times while visiting in-laws over the last decade, but never got to make my way over to Charleston. As a history buff and fan of archeology, I could see that the city had much of interest. I think I'll be making another trip down there, but this time it'll be just our immediate family and it'll be a real vacation.
