This has got to be one of the strangest coalitions I've ever seen. The Coalition to Insure Against Terrorism descibes itself as:
"Representing business insurance policyholders throughout the construction, entertainment, manufacturing, real estate, retailing and transportation sectors of the economy, the Coalition to Insure Against Terrorism (CIAT) seeks the passage of legislation that will provide the nation's insurers the mechanism to provide policyholders comprehensive terrorism coverage."
Where else have you seen banking trade groups allied with the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, the NBA, NFL, NHL and NCAA. Terrorism legislation makes for the strangest of bedfellows.
