Chimpanzees are closer to humans than to gorillas and other apes — so close that scientists say they should be sharing space on the same branch of the family tree.
The genus Homo, currently the sole domain of modern man, Homo sapiens, and his immediate ancestors, should be expanded to include two species of chimps, scientists reported Monday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
They're welcome to join us so long as they keep that feces throwing down to a minimum. It really stains the carpets.
