Comments Feature Repaired

COMMENTS ARE WORKING AGAIN.

COMMENTS ARE WORKING AGAIN.

COMMENTS ARE WORKING AGAIN.

COMMENTS ARE WORKING AGAIN.

That is all.

UPDATED:  Apparently the comments are working – with an annoying glitch.  You must be a registered user to leave comments.  I'm going to switch to a different comment system in the near future.  In the meantime, you can still comment as a registered, logged in user.

    1. The legacy mambot was already enabled. However, I discovered that when an edit is made to the setting for the comment component, Joomla was adding a line of random code into the component configuration that caused the site to malfunction. Couldn’t figure out how to stop the code from being inserted into the config file. However, once the settings have been saved, I can delete the unnecessary code through the control panel and the problem is solved.

So, anytime I edit the settings for the comments (which is never) I just have to remember to delete the extra line of code.

      Problem managed, if not solved.

      1. Did you get my comment? After I submitted it, I got a message saying I didn’t have the permissions to view this resource?

        1. Apparently the comments are working – with an annoying glitch. You must be a registered user to leave comments. I’ve turned on the option to allow for non-registered users to comment, but it won’t publish the comments anyway. I’m going to switch to a different comment system in the near future. In the meantime, you can still comment as a registered, logged in user.
