Healthy Record Keeping

My publication, The Multiracial Activist, recently signed on a coalition letter to the House Subcommittee on Health of the Committee on Ways and Means regarding medical privacy.

The letter is available online here.

A cross section of civil liberties organizations such as the Free Congress Foundation, Liberty Coalition, Family Research Council and the American Civil Liberties Union also signed the letter.

Whenever the Family Research Council and the American Civil Liberties Union are in agreement on a topic, the public ought to be interested and paying attention.

As a strong believer in the need for personal health records (more information here) and the further advancement and proliferation of electronic health records, I also see the need for ensuring privacy and protection of such records from the prying eyes of government and corporations alike.

Now listening to: Nightfly by Donald Fagen

  1. I like both Basia and Everything But The Girl. The Multiracial Activist has a minor database problem and I’ve been unable to access the corrupted table to get it repaired for about three days. I hope to hear back from my webmaster soon. It should be up and running again in a few days.

  2. The Multiracial Activist links return “cannot find server.”

The Nightfly is one of my favorite albums. For more rich melodies fusing elements of jazz, rock, and vocals try Clear Horizon by Basia and Temperamental and Walking Wounded by Everything But The Girl.
