Self Tooting of Horn

I've stumbled upon another university linking to The Multiracial Activist as a resource for a course. This one, offered by Arizona State University is on Recreation and Tourism for Diverse Populations. TMA has in the past been linked to by sociology, anthropology and political science professors as a resource material and in some cases it has actually made part of the course work for upper and lower level courses. In addition, it has been used a reference in an online sociology text book currently in use in several institutions. A not so complete list of colleges and universities smart enough to include TMA as a resource or as part of the coursework is below:

  • Leeward Community College, University of Hawaii
  • West Virginia University
  • The College of St. Catherine
  • University of Bradford (UK)
  • University of Keele (UK)
  • University of Plymouth (UK)
  • Hawkeye Community College
  • Kean University
  • Whittier College
  • Spokane Falls Community College
  • San Francisco State University
  • Pennsylvania State University
  • Towson University
  • Kumoh National University of Technology (Korea)
  • Southern Polytechnic University
  • University of Michigan
  • Princeton University
  • Palomar College
  • Teachers College, University of Nebraska-Lincoln
  • University of Washington
  • University of New Hampshire
  • Lincoln University
  • Arizona State University
  • Buffalo State College

TOOT! TOOT! TOOT!

There, I feel better and my self-esteem ratio has risen 10 points! The only drawback, of course, is the excess of student questions via email. The upside to that, however, is the ability to counteract NAACP, etc. propaganda firsthand. I'd rather surrender a few extra minutes answering a student's questions then let Julian Bond and Co. gain more ground.
