I agree with Kylmac13 about the offensiveness of this post. Whether a person agrees with the vote count or not does not mean that “they still want everything handed to them.” “They” seems to mean anyone who isn’t “white” and didn’t vote for Bush. As a Libertarian I voted for neither Bush or Gore. I guess that makes me something bad too, in his eyes.
Why post this to the Marine War Memorial March list? Did he join a “white”-only Marine Corps? I apparently wasn’t in that Marine Corps. I was in the one were Marines came in only one color – green. This is a list for Marines to talk about Marine issues, not for anti-this or anti-that viewpoints.
As an “interracially” married Marine, I find his diatribe offensive. My “black” wife is not a “they” and she has worked hard all her life, no different from me. Her status as a black woman doesn’t mean she automatically wants a handout.
