Dear Todd:

Legalize drugs! Drug use is a victimless “crime” and none of the government’s business. The War on Drugs has become nothing more than an excuse for corrupt police and prosecutors to: seize property from the citizenry (without ever charging or convicting the citizen); to employ racist, racial profiling schemes that punish appearance and not action; and for U.S. Customs officials to commit sexual abuse (through invasive body cavity searches) of women, as recently exposed in Chicago at the O’Hare Airport.

For more information on ending the drug war, see:

On a personal note, in 1976, my grandfather was murdered. One of the two murderers is already free, due to prison overcrowding. Seems that the State of Illinois needed more room for potsmokers.

Sincerely,

James A. Landrith, Jr.
