Gas and Civilians

This all sounds very much like a dress rehearsal for a Y2K crackdown to me. The fact that it was a Seattle Police Department/Washington National Guard operation makes it appear even more so. Any old excuse will do when you’re training. I spent six years in the USMC and can tell you that CS gas is bad stuff. I was exposed to it several times in training. Inhaling CS feels like you are suffocating while someone is rubbing salt into your eyes and nostils. According to the Geneva convention our government signed, it’s illegal to use in war, yet we can use it all we want in our borders on our elderly, children and pregnant women. Some people have been known to stop breathing due to swelling of the esophagus, etc., which is why Navy Corpsman are always present when training is conducted in the Corps with CS. Another of many reasons I left active duty in 1995. I’ll not willingly be part of any of this fascist garbage.
